Great steakhouse. The server was very friendly. They had a good selection of homemade desserts. I was not a fan of the ice loaded marg. They could make it much better with a spicy salt rim and less ice.

We went for the Thanksgiving dinner. It was very nice. It's a holiday and they were busy so I'm sure that changed some things. The food was good but nothing amazing, especially not for the price. But overall, it was good.

Top notch service. Our waitress was the best I've ever had. We went here to celebrate the a graduation. Food was absolutely incredible. It arrived a little undercooked, took it back and cooked it a little more thoroughly with no issue at all. Dessert was phenomenal.

Upscale steakhouse with great service and cool farmhouse salad experience. Entrees come with a salad and 1-2 sides. Farmhouse salad option allows patron to select toppings from a prep wheel. Food was good for all 3 at my table. Onion soup was good and had a nice touch with fried onion twists on top. Individual lights at each table provided ample lighting for menu reading and additional ambiance.

Had a party of seven people on Thanksgiving Day. We were seated right away. Benz was our server and she was awesome. The food was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend going to Mountain Jacks and asking for Benz. You will not be disappointed.

I first went to Mountain Jack's in 1979. At that time, it was known as the best restaurant in town with the best prime rib. I have re-visited a number of times over the past 40+ years, including last Friday, November 7, 2025, and it is still the best restaurant in town with the best prime rib. Our groupf of 4 was there to celebrate the recent retirement of a long-time Purdue Professor and as a pre-game dinner before a big football game weekend. Three of the 4 of us ordered the prime rib and everyone loved it. The other order was for the walleye fish, which was delicious. Before our entrees arrived we enjoyed salad from the "salad wheel" - I think the same type used in 1979. For dessert, we shared a slice of chocolate mouse pie and a slice of carrot cake. Overall, the food was just as outstanding as I have always remembered it to be. The only reason that I did not rate the Service and Atmosphere as "5's" may be because it was crowded and a little loud, but that is to be expected on a big football weekend.

Very nice people. Very good food. Great atmosphere. The owner was even bussing tables. You can tell that the place is loved by the owners. She was bussing tables, greeting guests and just all over the place, doing everything. What a pleasant experience. When an owner does it all, you know you're in the right place. Kudos to them for all of their effort. Excellence in every aspect! That is true care. Rarely do you get to see the owner bussing table. She is awesome! The food was spot on. My wife had a New York Strip(cooked perfectly). I had Salmon(also cooked perfectly). The staff was friendly. Our waitress was delightful. The owners were both on the floor, doing everything they could to help their staff and make our experience great. Superb experience. I cannot say enough good things about this visit. They went out of their way to make us feel at home(and they were packed). I can only imagine when they're not so busy. If the service is this great when they're busy, what must it be like when they're half full? They did everything but chew our food for us. Amazing experience. Would recommend to all my fruends and family.

Lovely restaurant and great food with quick services. The food was surprisingly affordable for a steakhouse. We sat in a side room and it was pretty loud. Overall a pleasant dinner.
